Here at DroidGamers we are always looking to do different and unique things with Android gaming. We’ve ran our own competitions already and there have been a few instances in the past where other companies have ran their own as well including Major League Gaming. However, if Android gaming were to actually break into the eSports scene on a more serious level, it would be interesting to see what games people would like to be able to compete in.

The Game Show Network releases Lingo onto Android for fans of the actual gameshow to play and win prizes.
It is some interesting times we live in these days as technology for mobile devices, such as our beloved Android devices, continues to spur forward with new and innovative features. Even major print and TV media outlets are getting into all things Android. The newest one comes from the Game Show Network.
Well Round 3 of AGC#2 is over and there is a pretty fierce fight going on for pretty much even position in the Top 5 spots. Scores are also getting increasingly higher as everyone gets more into how the game being played functions and developing new strategies.
Well we had to delay the sign-ups for AGC#2 a couple of days while we worked on getting the new site design completed and live but the delay is now over. We are pleased to announce that registration is now open for AGC#2! Start doing those finger stretches now, you don’t want to pull a muscle.
Earlier this year we mentioned that the second Android Gaming Challenge was on the way. A lot of people have been waiting for this to start and now the wait is almost over. We here at DroidGamers are happy to announce the official AGC#2 sign-up and starting date as well as give you a peek into the prizes.
Although the iPhone recently announced it will more then likely be supporting Flash soon (surprise surprise), Kongregate has long supported gaming on mobile phones since the idea of Flash on Android came to light and was one of the first sites to make their games playable on Android devices. Well now developers have a chance to win part of almost $30,000 in prizes!
We just wrapped up the first ever Android Gaming Challenge which was not only dubbed the first of it’s kind for the Android platform but some reports labeled it as the first of it’s kind of mobile gaming in general! The response? Massive. With over 400+ initial participants and media coverage on just about every major Android website (fantastic Android community support) and some technology/mobile news sites, the first AGC was a great success.
We’ve been teasing everyone about the prizes for AGC1 and we let out that one was to be a free new Android phone. However that certainly isn’t the end of the list! You think we would only giveaway just that? Shame on you! Don’t you know we are partially insane over here at Droid Gamers? In any events, it is time to reveal the prize list and it is a big one!
Gaming has evolved since the day it started with the oldest console system. From there it has progressed to 3D multiplayer consoles, Controller-less playing (Kinetic etc) and high-end PC gaming. The next step is mobile. There are tournaments for PC gaming, consoles gaming, team playing and more and some are even televised! Now Android has it’s own official gaming tournament.
Our multi-game giveaway week has come to a close finally and it was a huge success! A lot of people won prizes and while this giveaway is over, we are already gearing up to announce our new one coming up shortly! As I mentioned the other day, any unclaimed prizes from this will be tossed back into the pot and we are going to blitz them out tomorrow!
