More investment and funding news today and this time it is NetMarble investing a bunch of money into SGN. If you are unfamiliar with either of these companies, NetMarble is one of Korea’s biggest mobile game publisher, while SGN is apparently one of the fastest growing game developers here in the USA.

SGN is slowly getting back into releasing games on Android and one of their most recent releases happens to be a rather fast-paced racing game fully rendered in 3D visuals called Ion Racer. This particular racing game is a bit different than your standard ‘load up track and race for first place’ type of racing game.
After a couple of days of free games that register of the ‘meh’ scale, Amazon has put up another game for free today. This particular game is from SGN (also known as Social Gaming Network) called Warp Dash and is available for free today only which will save you $1.99.
As the battle for smartphone dominance continues between the iPhone’s iOS and Android with sales and activations, users will soon be able to take the battle into the gaming arena thanks to OpenFeint’s newest update to their SDK. Any game developer can add the OpenFeint SDK to their game to allow iPhone and Android users to compete against each other.
Well it seems as though Skies of Glory’s release has gone exceptionally well and without a hitch, almost. Android users who own an Eris or Hero have been experiencing issues with the game which features live multiplayer across platforms so you can compete against iPhone users in real time. Official word just came down from SGN via their twitter account about the issue.

During Google I/O 2010 a game called Skies of Glory was shown running on a Droid. Since then we have also reported on Social Gaming Network, SGN for short, who developed Skies of Glory. Well this 3D aerial combat game is now available on the Android market and features cross-platform multiplayer which will allow you to dogfight and kill your iPhone enemies!
Social Gaming Network, or SGN for short, just recently announced that they have raised an additional $2 million dollars in second round funding. While good funding is great to hear about where developers are concerned, SGN has been focused a long time on high quality iPhone/iPad/iPod multiplayer gaming. They now plan to release titles for Android devices.
