Imangi Studios has pushed out their second major expansion for Temple Run 2 today. The expansion is called Blazing Sands and from the name you can probably guess at what sort of theme this will have. If you guess lots of sand and desert terrain then you would be correct.

Temple Run 2 from Imangi Studios has been out for a bit now and hasn’t really received any major content expansions since its release. That’s all changing though with the first in a series of planned content expansions that has arrived today called Frozen Shadows.
In terms of brand cross-overs, franchises like Angry Birds and Puzzle & Dragons tend to do a lot of them. While this may get played out after awhile, especially with Angry Birds, once in awhile a cross-over does happen that is just plain cool and Temple Run 2 has started one that is just that. As we get closer to Christmas more and more games are being updated with holiday themed content for gamers to enjoy. Three notable games have had updates pushed out with holiday themed goodies to enjoy and while the Angry Birds Seasons update landed last week, Terraria and Temple Run 2 both were updated within the last 24 hours.
Imangi Studios has pushed an update out onto Android yesterday that brings with it a new playable character. This new playable character comes in the form of six-time Olympic champion from Jamaica named Usain Bolt. This marks the first time an actual person has guest starred as a character in the Temple Run series.
While most Thursdays are usually all about a ton of game releases, this Thursday seems to be all about the updates instead. Of course this could be because we have a lot of big titles coming next week instead. Either way, expect to download plenty of updates today and Temple Run 2 is now exception from the rule.

The moment all of you Temple Run fans out there have been waiting for since word got out last week that a sequel was on the way has finally arrived. Imangi Studios has released Temple Run 2 right on time onto Google Play and considering this game is just as popular on Android as it is on iOS, we should see download numbers similar to what the iOS launch pulled in with around 20 million download in four days.
