The world of tech blogs seems to be rather excited today as a few rumors and announcements have happened with one of the main ones coming from Sony who officially announced (or confirmed depending on how you look at it) their upcoming quad-core, and ultra thing, Xperia Tablet Z. While we still get to deal with one letter names, at least now we can tack on the Xperia brand name on there as well.

Not one to be left out of the holiday sale rush, Sony has put up a few games for sale that are exclusive to their Xperia line of devices. So if you don’t have an Xperia device, you won’t be able to take advantage of this sale. Luckily there are still plenty of sales out there for you to enjoy if you don’t have an Xperia device.
The much anticipated re-branded and expanded Playstation Suite, now known as Playstation Mobile, will be going live today for those of you in the Eastern time zone as of the time of writing this. The rest of us on the west will be waiting a few hours but regardless, Playstation Mobile will be going live along with all of its features.
Minecraft: Pocket Edition now creepier thanks to the new update with Creepers and more, now live
We were hearing rumblings yesterday on Twitter that the update we talked about a few weeks ago for Minecraft: Pocket Edition would be arriving today and sure enough the 0.4.0 update has arrived. For those of you who missed our last article with the full changelog, this update brings a lot more to the game including the infamous Creeper.
While most manufacturers enjoy coming up with cool names for their Android devices, for the most part anyways, Sony seems content in just using letters from the alphabet. Eventually they will run out of letters to use and actually have to think up a name or two. Until then though, Sony has announced a new line of Xperia phones, appropriately named the Xperia V, Xperia J and the flagship phone, the Xperia T.
Yesterday we talked about the next Minecraft: Pocket Edition update, labeled as being version 0.4.0, and that it would bring with it Creepers and Chests to the game. Shortly after posting this, we found out that there is a lot more to the upcoming update than just those two things.
Just like the continuous string of OUYA news you can expect over the next little while, you can be sure that there will be plenty of Playstation Mobile news to read up on as well as more games are confirmed for Sony’s new service. Today we can confirm that Positron will be arriving on Playstation Mobile for both PS Vita and Android Playstation Certified devices.
Sega has started a back to school sale and while iOS users see more of a benefit than Android gamers do, since more games are discounted on iOS, you can still nab a couple of games for at fairly decent discounted price. Both Sonic CD and Sonic 4: Episode II are now on sale for a limited time. There is also a twist to this sale that might interest some of you out there.
Sony drops some harsh words for people who unlock their bootloaders then complain about voided warranties
It was only a couple of weeks ago when we reported on Sony and the fact that they were turning down people needing their Android devices repaired if they have, or have had, their bootloaders unlocked. While we discussed this issue back then and the irony about the situation, Sony has come out to speak on the matter a bit more.
Sony seems to have sprung a bit of a leak today and it appears this leak deals with a new Xperia branded tablet and it looks pretty promising. This new Sony tablet looks like it will be the next gen device for the company over their previous two tablets and will come sporting a Tegra 3 chipset.
