Lenovo has apparently had their upcoming Tegra 3 quad-core tablet specs leaked today and so far they are looking pretty serious in terms of power. This new Lenovo tablet will be running the latest version of Android called Ice Cream Sandwich and will be stuffed with a Tegra 3 quad-core chipset.
So far this 10.1 inch tablet is sounding pretty beastly but it gets better. Along side ICS and Tegra 3, this new Lenovo tablet will come sporting 2GB of 1,600MHz DDR3 RAM, a standard size USB socket which will be covered by a pop-out flap similar to the Toshiba Tegra 2 tablet. Of course it will have the standard rear-facing camera although currently the resolution is unknown. It will also come with a "Special Fusion-Skin Body" and a fingerprint scanner which will also double as a optical joystick which is a pretty interesting feature which really hasn't been seen before now on an Android device.
The Tegra 3 chipset inside is apparently clocked at 1.6GHz and the tablet is going to be much thinner than previous Lenovo offerings. As it stands now, this new tablet from Lenovo is slated for release near the end of the year. As more information comes out, we will be sure to keep you updated, especially regarding this new fingerprint scanner that doubles as a optical joystick.
