Gridlock Traffic Control Game

If there isn’t enough traffic control games on the Android market already, here is another one for you to play called Gridlock, developed by No Patience Software. Like all traffic control games that deal with street traffic, the object of the game is to stop and start cars in the hopes that they don’t smash into each other. Too many crashes = game over.

While the idea behind the game isn’t overly original nor are the graphics really, the options that are provided with the game are impressive. In fact there are so many options you can adjust in the game that you can pretty much tailor it to how you want it. More cars on the road for added challenge? No problem. Turn on emergency vehicles (they don’t stop when tapped although you can stop them by stopping a car in front of them)? Sure! Trucks and motorcycles? why not! You can even adjust whether or not the traffic stays stopped when you tap it until you tap it again for the vehicle to resume it’s travels or keep it as the default setting which just pauses the car for a few seconds and automatically starts going again.

Features:

  • Easy pick-up-and-play gaming
  • Good graphics and animations
  • Lots of options for tailored gameplay

Gridlock does what it was meant to do, provide a good traffic control game to play on your Android phone. With all the options to adjust, it offers up a decent dose of replay value as well. The only downside to this game was the lack of sounds which made the gameplay a bit dry.

You can pick Gridlock up off the Android market right now for free (ad supported) and it’s the full version too. It will make a nice addition to anyone’s collection if they enjoy traffic control games.
