OrangePixel is one of the great indie game developers for Android and is usually overlooked and highly underrated. There are lots of other great indie developers out there but most get lots of press when they release something such as EVAC by Hexage. Super Drill Panic is a new game coming soon to the Android Market.
XDA – a long running online community known best for their persistence in hacking smartphones has officially prevailed over the notoriously difficult to crack HTC G2. Just a month after it’s release HTC’s complex anti-hacking software (and hardware, apparently) has been rendered useless. Their newest system comes enabled with Bluetooth so while you are watching a movie, tv, listening to music or playing games, you can actually keep your Android device in-hand wires-free and get all the good high quality sound thanks to their Sound Platform.
Mad, crazy, Chuck Norris like skill and probably drunk judging by the picture. That is what Herman the Hermit is. Developed by VisualDreams, this is a 2D platform jumping game although with how the graphics look in the preview screenshots saying that it is 2D seems a bit of a stretch. It looks a lot more 3D than 2D graphically.
Everyone who has been playing Angry Birds will be pleased with this announcement. Rovio has released the first update for Angry Birds for Android and it is a pretty nice sized update. First, the game now supports QVGA screens so anyone who owns an Android device with a QVGA screen will have proper screen support with the graphics in-game.
