Motorola Olympus spotted?

An anonymous tipster has images of Motorola’s first smartphone featuring nVIDIAs gaming focused (and let’s not forget to mention very powerful) mobile chipset. With nVIDIA’s chipset around the corner could Motorola be one of the few premiere Tegra 2 OEMs? And if so, what does it mean for TI’s relationship with Motorola?

We know it exists because it was spotted in the official UPnP forum. It’s confirmed to be rocking support for Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR and dual-band 802.11 a/b/g/n WiFi. Little else is known about Motorola’s Olympus, other than it’s beautiful picture. It looks most like the frame of Motorola’s recent water and dust resistant Defy. So far what we can tell from the picture is that it will likely feature a front facing camera (found in top left).

What do you make of the Texas Instruments/nVIDIA situation that Motorola has on it’s hands? Can Motorola source parts from both manufacturers effectively, or will nVIDIA be Motorola’s exclusive chip provider in the future?
