Rocket Bunnies – Surfing planets while scooping up the bunnies

Rocket Bunnies by Defiant Development has been staring me in the face all day on AppBrain. Sitting there in the top ‘Hottest Apps’ spot all day, defiantly waiting for me to play it. Once downloaded, I was treated to the beginning screen of what would become a very addictive game to play on my Nexus One.

The goal in Rocket Bunnies is to move your rocket riding bunny from one planet to the next, collecting the rabbits on each while dodging enemies, comets and more. You also have a time limit so the faster you get a stage done, the better your ranking is per stage (out of 3 stars). Controls are touch screen and to move you just tap a planet you want your bunny to fly to. You can also reverse direction by tapping the planet your bunny is currently on.

Features:

  • Great graphics and sounds
  • Touch screen controls
  • Multiple worlds with multiple levels in each
  • Speed boost for proper timed moves
  • Power-ups
  • Deranged looking bunny for a character!

Each stage gets harder and hard with more enemies that do different things such as the spider which hops from planet to planet trying to catch you. Also there are planets you can’t even touch while others are tiny making your path slightly more difficult to get around as you try to collect all the bunnies.

Most people who enjoy action-puzzle types of games will want to get this and start playing. It’s highly addictive and fun. You can pick it up off the Android Market for free (ad supported). The developer is considering making an ad free version for a small fee.

On a side note, if you own a Samsung Android phone, to play this you need to update your OS version to 2.2.
