World of Midgard MMORPG to come to Android soon. Made with Unity3D.

In case you don’t have enough MMORPGs to play, not that there is a whole lot of them available for Android, there is another one making the journey to Android soon. World of Midgard is an MMORPG developed using the Unity3D game engine (that is becoming a common phrase these days) and features some pretty impressive content and graphics.

Being based on Unity3D means that this game stands a very good chance of being available to many Android devices, not just ones with Tegra 2 chips inside them. World of Midgard will be a persistent open-world MMORPG that will initially launch with four classes: Cleric, Mage, Fighter and Rogue. While the game will be an open-world game, there will be dungeons and portals for the more intense areas and raiding. Like most MMORPGs there will be two factions: Alliance and Fury and both factions will have all four classes available.

One thing you’ll see in World of Midgard that isn’t exactly in every MMORPG out there is the fact that every class can heal and resurrect. This could a little bit of a balance issue as MMORPGs go. It’ll be interesting to see how that plays out.

PvP will also be included in World of Midgard and is shaping up to be similar in nature to that of World of Warcraft. There will be a 5v5 battleground, 1v1 arena along with PvP gear sets to earn. There will also be servers dedicated to PvP or PvE, depending on your playing style. This will include open PvP combat in the world.

World of Midgard is slated to be released for free on iOS first but thanks to being developed with Unity3D, it will be landing on Android not long after. According to the developer, until the in-game item shop is available, the game will be free for the first two zones, then $1.99 for every zone after with new zones slated every two months with a total of 20 zones currently planned.

There will also be the inclusion of mounts and pets in a future update after release along with another class to pick which will be the Ranger class and yes, it will have attack pets just like in W.O.W. with the Hunter class.

Of course you’ll also have all the standard features in a fantasy MMORPG such as quests, gear levels, skills, towns/castles and all that good stuff. The iOS version is slated for a June release if all goes well with the Android version shortly after. Pretty big project and seems to be coming along nicely so far and from what we can tell in the numerous videos posted there are multiple races such as Dwarf, Human, Elf and Berserker Orc to choose from so far with what looks like a total of 10 races in one video (shown below).
