Retro war/strategy game, Z, by the Bitmap Brothers being remade. Coming to Android soon!

Back in the mid-90s there was a game called Z. Now called Z: The Game, it is being remade for more modern times and is slated to be released on a multitude of platforms include Android. The great thing about Z is that most of the units in the game, which are robots, all seem to have their own unique (and entertaining) personalities.

Z: The Game is a real-time wargame in a totally free environment without things like taking turns or a set path/grid that you have to play on. Basically it is an open-world RTS game at it’s core. Best part is the fact that this will be a multiplayer game so there will be an unlimited amount of replay value that comes along with it.

“Fans of this classic strategy title are in for a real treat – everything is in there, from the terrific comedy cutscenes to the frantic multiplayer mode, and with a much friendlier, intuitive interface. This is going to be the definitive version of Z.” – Tony Kavanagh of Kavcom.

It’ll be interesting to see how the remade version will look, whether it’ll keep that old school retro-style pixel art or get an upgrade to something a little more 3D. Either way, fans of the old school RTS games are in for a treat when this lands on Android. Not exact date has been announced yet and will be published through Kavcom.
