We got word in advance that something was going on but it seems today there is good and bad news coming from Faeria Studios. The bad news is that their MMORPG project called Rūnes is going to be put on the back-burner but might still launch this year. The good news is they have a new game in the works for iOS and the almighty Android OS called The Ascent!
So while it does suck to hear the news of an unique project MMORPG where you attacked by drawing runes on your screen in a similar manner in which you can use the “pattern unlock” to unlock your phone from the lock screen, it is really awesome news to see that the company did not go under, nor are they neglecting Android. And while Rūnes looked nice, The Ascent looks like it is going to be a good one as well so it is a nice trade off. Hopefully The Ascent makes them a nice chunk of change and they can get back into development for Rūnes as well! Here is the message we received on the English Beta Tester forum:
There are some really sad news… But as we love you a lot, we have a gift and you are the first in the world who can see it!

Mage Kaliend after two years of hard work, Rūnes came to a critical point. Actually, the cost of development has become raised caused maintaining and developing new features has become a real crucible.
That’s why Tiki Move disengages from the adventure after a long collaboration. From the beginning, they handle the coding of the project so this means a lot of significant changes:
1 / Rūnes enter into stasis because we have another project at work. This done, the code of runes will be rewritten from scratch then the beta-test will reopen.
2 / The Ascent: The Ascent is our next project, we are pleased to present the first images of our new baby!
We thank you for your support throughout the adventure, registrations will therefore temporarily be closed, but the forum remains open to answer your questions! We will work as hard as possible to bring back Rūnes this year!
