World of Midgard is a 3D MMORPG for Android that has been in development for awhile now by Veraxon Entertainment. It will be cross-platform compatible with iOS as well so you’ll be playing with other player on other platforms when the game is actually released. However, you can always try to get in to the closed beta!
That’s right. World of Midgard has opened up closed beta registration for those of you who are interested in being in the initial beta testing for this game. We aren’t exactly sure how many people will be allowed into the closed beta but there is no harm in trying, especially since it just started.
World of Midgard will be a full featured MMORPG for mobile with quests, leveling, skills, tons of gear and even PvP. the developer have finally got an official website up now as well where you will eventually be able to read up on all the classes/races, skills, gear, and even the lore behind the game for all you lore buffs out there. Graphically, it will have more realistic graphics for everything, like Guild Wars or MMOs of that nature than ones like World of Warcraft.
The website is still extremely new so they are still populating it with information. However, there are forums up for any question you may have until all the information is available on their site. Head over to the Closed Beta Sign-up page to get started and if you haven’t seen an of the YouTube videos of theirs that we have posted, you can always check them out on their YouTube channel.
Update April 27th, 2011 5:58pm: We just got word that World of Midgard will indeed be compatible on the Xperia Play and the controls that come with it. On a side note, for those of you who are curious, World of Midgard is being developed using Unity3D.
