Heroes of Might and Magic 3 game engine VCMI taken off the market.

VCMI, the open source engine that was made so you can run Heroes of Might and Magic 3 on your Android device, has been taken off the Android Market barely a half a day later after posting about it. While you may think this is another pull by Google, it actually isn’t.

In fact the developer has pulled VCMI off the Android Market for good reason. According to the developer, it was crashing excessively during gameplay and felt that it would be better to take VCMI off the Android Market instead of letting Android gamers deal with their phones locking up during gameplay. So while this is bad news for those of you who planned on playing a little Heroes of Might and Magic 3 over the next few days, there is a silver lining to the dark cloud.

Pelya, the developer, has said it is only off the Android Market for right now until the issues can be fixed. When it gets back up, we will let everyone know!
