Tribute to 80’s classic games Sabotage and Paratrooper called Parashoot now available.

If you have been playing video games for as long as some of us have then you probably remember at least either Sabotage or Paratrooper from back in the 80’s. Well developers ‘We Came From Mars’ have release their tribute to these two games in a new title called Parashoot.

Parashoot features retro-style 3D graphics which you should be familiar with if you’ve play any sort of game like Minecraft or Lego-style games. The point of the game is simple, just shoot everything on the screen that is attacking you. Everything is worth it’s own point value and you can get multipliers as well to really rack up your score.

Features:

  • Infinite gameplay in survival game mode
  • Online leaderboards+achievements with OpenFeint
  • Original soundtrack
  • No-ads
  • Cool retro-3D graphics

If you are looking for a simple and enjoyable shoot em’ up type of game but like a little retro eye candy to go along with it, then definitely check this game out, especially if you remember playing either of those two 80’s games. The developers are working to fix an issue with certain devices so if you head to the market and don’t see it, that is why. It isn’t available for your device yet. Current blacklisted devices include: Any Android 3.x device, LG Optimus 2X (aka G2X) and some sony Ericsson X10 variants. Hopefully this issue will be resolved soon.

You can pick up Parashoot off the Android Market right now for $1.69. There is a lite/trial version for free as well.
