nVidia launches TegraZone.com a web-based marketplace for Tegra Android games

nVidia has been hard at work it seems as today marks the launch of their companion site to the Tegra Zone app. TegraZone.com is a web-based version of the Tegra Zone app which is for Android devices sporting the Tegra 2 and future Tegra chipsets.

The site is accessible to everyone regardless if you have a Tegra 2 Android device but all the games on there are for Tegra 2 Android devices only. Considering the high amount of usage the Android Market website gets over the market app, this makes for a nice compliment to the Tegra Zone app. If you’ve used Tegra Zone on your Android device, you will be instantly familiar with the look and feel of the new site as it mimics it pretty nicely.

It doesn’t just feature games though, similar to the Tegra Zone app, the new site also features news and an about page. Expanding on that though is a new set of community forums for everyone to use as well. Also with the launch of the site is the new Zone In program which is aimed at developers who have Tegra 2 optimized games to submit their titles to nVidia. They will look at your game and, if selected, will list in on the Tegra Zone site and app. Developers who are interested in being listed on both the site and app just need to head over to the Zone In page to sign-up.

We got to play with this site while it was still behind doors and nVidia has done a pretty good job with keeping the look and feel of the app but on a website. If you have a few minutes you should check it out.
