A new naval game for Android is currently being developed by Bane Games called Battle Group. This is a 2D naval warfare game where you’ll control your ships and attack your enemies with your ships. Since you’ll have multiple ships there will be plenty of strategy involved as well.
You will be able to upgrade and customize your ships as they level up, unlocking new abilities which you’ll use to defeat your enemies with. Along with new abilities to unlock, you’ll also be able to unlock entire new ships as well while you deal with both combat on the water and aerial assaults from planes as well.

Battle Group will be available for Android, along with iOS/PC/Mac, sometime in Q4 2011. While this game looks like a fun strategy-action game for mobile and desktop, we would think that a multiplayer online feature would be great to include in a game such as this. Hopefully it will come at some point whether at launch or shortly after. For now though, we just get to enjoy some screenshots and the trailer below.
