TAITO has mutated the original Space Invaders game into a new version called Space Invaders Infinity Gene and has unleashed this new title onto the Android Market this morning. Already out for iOS, PSN and XBLA, this new space invaders game is wrapped up in a new genetics theme.
The game is supposed to always be evolving as you play it more although we imagine that once you finish it, if there even is an end to it, that’s the end of it’s evolution. It starts off a lot like the original Space Invaders game at first but as you progress through the game it changes, or evolves as TAITO says, and you will be able to unlock move levels, system features and weapons.

TAITO’s description of the game leaves a lot to the imagination and really doesn’t go into detail that much but perhaps that’s the point, you don’t know where evolution will take you. Space Invaders Infinity Gene is available on the Android Market for $4.99 which, if you are a fan of the original or just retro games in general, this is basically a must have.
