Another Unity3D built third-person shooter coming this year called M.U.S.E

There is a new mobile games published jumping onto the scene and they are not just sticking with iOS but multiple platforms including Android. One such title, built using Unity3D, is a third-person shooter called M.U.S.E which is already being compared to Madfinger Games upcoming hit shooter, Shadowgun.

In M.U.S.E. you will be playing as Sid Tripp who happens to be a rather bad-ass agent of a group called M.U.S.E. and is the only person who can stand against some super villain called The Brain. While sounding like a comic book, M.U.S.E. brings you some straight up third-person shooter action wrapped up in console quality graphics. Of course being the bad-ass agent you are, you will have a plethora of weaponry at your disposal like any good shooter should contain.

Features:

  • Gorgeous visuals – Graphics that rival console games for graphical richness and detail.
  • Arcade-style scoring system that awards players points for combo kills and massive destruction.
  • Compete against and challenge friends for the highest scores in OpenFeint leaderboards.
  • Equip a variety of high-tech weapons as you fight against an army of cybernetic enemies.
  • Destructible environments rigged for maximum destruction and pyrotechnic mayhem.
  • Immersive single-player campaign with a storyline told through comic book-style cutscenes.

If Shadowgun, which is nearing release on Android and already out on iOS, was to have a rival, M.U.S.E is shaping up to be just that. Developed by Lab Rats Studios, it will be published through Ayopa Games sometime this December 2011. No word just yet on pricing or any sort of chip exclusivity (like Tegra 2 or Tegra 3).
