Cut the Birds gets pulled from the Android Market, probably from action by Rovio

You may remember the other day we reported on a rather blatant clone of a couple of games combined into one title called Cut the Rope by Solverlabs. It took the gameplay mechanics from Fruit Ninja and the birds for Angry Birds and blended it into one rather bland clone.

Apparently after a few sites, include ourselves, reported on this game, Rovio looks to have taken some action against the developer. Originally the game was updated with new bird graphics, completely removing the old bird graphics that were pretty much identical to the actual Angry Birds. You can see the new bird graphics in the shots below.

That, however, didn’t last long and the game has been pulled right off the Android Market. Whether that was the developer’s choice, which we doubt it was, or whether it was due to Rovio’s action taken against the game is unknown. Either way, it is no longer available on the Android Market.
