Square Enix officially announces their Android store… in Japan for now.

It’s no secret that Square Enix has plans to make a big push into the Android Market after a slew of announced titles back during the Tokyo Game show that happened recently. Today they have officially announced their Android store for their Android games which will debut in Japan.

The store, which will be for Japanese Android users, already will be coming with some impressive titles when it launches including Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest Monsters Most Wanted, a port of iOS game Chaos Ring, and Crystal Defenders. While those particular titles are slated for release in Japan, at least for now, we won’t be left out in the dark here in the USA and Europe either.

Some titles that we do know will eventually beheading to Android on US and European shores include Itadaki Street, Lara Croft and the Gaurdian of Light and Chrono Trigger. Both of these titles are also planned for release on the Japanese Android store as well. The store itself will debut in Japan on December 1st, 2011. The Lara Croft title should be the first to appear outside of Asia as a temporary exclusive to the Xperia Play as well sometime this month (November). As for the rest, it’s simply a waiting game for right now. When the Square Enix Android store opens up December 1st, it will be available exclusively to customers on KDDI, with Softbank and Docomo. However, most of these games will make it onto the Android Market sometime in 2012.
