nVidia has released a new video showcasing Android’s latest OS, dubbed Ice Cream Sandwich (or Android 4.0 for those of you who dislike desserts), but instead of having it running on a prototype Tegra 3 quad-core tablet, they are showing it off on a production model of an Asus Transformer Prime.
nVidia’s video gives you a nice little tour of what to expect when your device gets the Android 4.0 update but on top of that you get to see the speed of the Tegra 3 chip in action including another sneak peek at Riptide GP which will be coming in a Tegra 3 optimized version that has some new water effects like droplets landing on your screen when you land from catching some air.
Another really nice addition to ICS is the transitions between screens and other user interface enhancements. While the look is somewhat smiliar to that of Honeycomb, you can really see the improvements in useability whether it’s adding icons, moving between screens or just the speed of the OS in general.
