There’s a new RPG in town and it’s called Exitium: Saviors of Vardonia

Developed by Minoraxis, Exitium: Saviors of Vardonia is an interesting RPG title that just landed on the Android Market yesterday. It features some old school graphics and RPG flavor but at the same time brings with it some unique features not seen in a ‘single player’ RPG before.

In Exitium you will be able to choose from four classes: Berserker, Paladin, Priestess and Mage. From there it follows the standard RPG mechanics of doing quests, leveling up and raising your skills or learning new ones as you become more powerful. There are both passive and active skills you can learn in order to improve your character in a variety of ways whether it’s more health or stronger attacks. Each playable character comes with unique skills, strengths, items and perspectives:

  • BERSERKER – Close-range weapons, powerful, heaps of weapons and armor to use.
  • PALADIN – Close-range weapons, swift and nimble, tons of weapons and armor to try out.
  • PRIESTESS – Long-range weapons, superior magical offense and passive HP recovery.
  • MAGE – Long-range weapons, superior magical offense and Mana shield defense.

It all seems like a pretty standard, well made RPG title for mobile until you read one of the features that this game comes with and that is an online marketplace where players can trade items they have found even though it really is a single player RPG. This isn’t an element you usually see in an single player game.

Exitium Features:

  • 4 distinct classes to play, based on melee or magic!
  • Online market; trade items found in the game with other players!
  • Fast paced battle system, utilizing Skills and Magic. Passive and active skills enhance your character. Buff and debuff away!
  • Massive, beautifully rendered world to explore.
  • Huge number of quests and side missions.
  • Large array of weapons, armor, and garments to discover. Upgrade them at the blacksmith’s, and intensify them with magical gems.
  • Create your own items using things found on your journeys.
  • Premium items available as in-app purchases only for your convenience!

The developers seem to have made an MMORPG title but for just single player gameplay if that makes sense. Everything about Exitium would fit right into an MMORPG design and gameplay yet the only interaction, as minor as it is, with anyone else it to trade weapons on the marketplace. You can even craft new items from materials found and then trade them.

While the game does have an in-game cash shop to purchase premium items, those are completely optional and just give you a boost with certain things like leveling faster. You can totally play this game without spending any money in the cash shop once you’ve purchased the game off the Android Market. The shop is there for the more hardcore players. You can pick up Exitium: Saviors of Vardonia off the Android Market for around $3.90.
