Hands-on preview of Bridea’s upcoming MMOFPS for Android Tegra 3 devices called DaVinci THD

Another game a lot of people seem interested in and are looking forward to is the MMOFPS we have been reporting on called DaVinci THD which is being developed by Bridea Corp using Unreal Engine 3. This is a 3D MMOFPS game that also comes with PvE content for those people not interested in just slaughtering other players.

This hands-on preview is a playable tech demo for the DaVinci THD game and since this game isn’t released, this showcases some of the early PvE content that will be coming with the game. Since this is still an early build the enemies encountered don’t attack but at least you get a feel for how the game looks and feel with our little hands-on. We did this hands-on preview on the Asus Transformer Prime connected to our TV through HDMI-out. It looked pretty good on the TV and even better on the tablet itself.

DaVinci THD currently known features:

– Designed specifically for devices using NVIDIA® Tegra 3™, quad-core mobile superchip
– Dynamic character lighting and gamma correction for more realistic light calculations
– Interaction of scene objects using advanced physics simulations

DaVinci THD will also be coming to the PC and is actually in closed beta testing right now. Both the PC and Android version will have cross-platform multiplayer and the Android version should feature all the PvP and PvE content that the PC version has to offer. Unfortunately the demo doesn’t include any of the other characters, weapons, maps of the user interface but at least we get to see how it looks and get an idea about how it will play.

So far after fiddling with DaVinci THD on the Transformer Prime, it looks pretty promising. We are looking forward to getting a more complete tech demo where we can check out the interface and possibly some of the other characters. For more information on DaVinci THD, definitely check out our previous post which goes into a bit more detail about the game itself. You can also check out the listing for DaVinci THD over on Tegra Zone.
