[CES2012] Verizon officially announces the Motorola Droid 4 dual-core phone.

Verizon has just announced the latest addition to the Droid family of phones called the Droid 4. This new member of the family will come packing a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of Ram and 16GB of internal storage. To make it even more enticing to get, it is also an LTE phone.

The Droid 4 measures in at a half of an inch thick and sports a 4″ qHD screen to show off the eye candy that the 1.2GHz chipset will be pumping out into your face. Speaking about faces, the Droid 4 will also be sporting an 8MP camera which will also be able to shoot 1080p HD video. It will also be coming with a QWERTY slide out keyboard as well and will launch with Android 2.3.5 with an Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) upgrade not too far off.

You will also be able to dock the Droid 4 in either the Lapdock 100 or Lapdock 500 pro. As of right now there is no specific date announced for the Droid 4 for Verizon although according to Verizon it should be on sale in the coming weeks.
