Since the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 we have been talking about the new Elite service being offered by Activision which brings a bunch of features to the game both statistically and socially. We also mentioned that there would be a companion app for Android which, even though ended up being delayed, would be released soon.
Well it seems as though the waiting is over and the Call of Duty Elite companion app is now available on the Android Market. While the actual Elite service comes with a bunch of features, the companion application only comes with a few of the features but nonetheless very useful ones.
Call of Duty Elite Features:
– Check your Career Summary for deep details on your multiplayer activity. Analyze your progress over time to see which areas you need to improve in and which areas you excel in.
– Review Recent Matches to track your performance on a match-by-match basis.
– View and edit your Custom Classes on the go. Push your changes into the game so you’re ready to play the moment you load up multiplayer.
– Track your Challenge progress to help you work toward the highest XP gains.
While stat checking is all fine and dandy, the real plus to this application is being able to change up your custom classes while you are out and about. That way when you get home you can just jump right into playing the game instead of having to do it then.
The Call of Duty Elite service (the full service) is available for free or you can subscribe to it for even more features if you are up for paying a monthly fee. The companion application is completely free though and is available now to download off the Android Market.
