If you’ve been holding out on Minecraft: Pocket Edition then now is a great time time to jump in the block mining craze. Over the weekend Mojang has finally made good on their promise and brought the much requested and long awaited Survival Mode, at least to a degree for now.
While still missing some key components (online multiplayer, crafting) that make Minecraft… well Minecraft, the Pocket Edition has been given a number of welcome addition that truly share the same essence of it PC counter part.
The update hosts a number of addition like the previously stated Survival Mode. For those who have never played the original PC title, Survival Mode changes the time of day as you play, unleashing several things that go bump in the night. The night time itself are short of few shades away from being pitch black, perfect for zombies to tear you to pieces as you desperately build a makeshift home to keep them at bay. Other additions include roaming sheep’s, new blocks (doors and fences) and tools for mining blocks.
Despite the update missing a couple of features from the original game including all the monsters, the update makes Minecraft: Pocket Edition bring enough additions to finally bear the name Pocket Edition. Check the link below for the update.
