[MWC 2012] SilverTree Media working on another addition to the Cordy series

SilverTree Media is working on a sequel to Cordy and it is shaping up to be much faster in pace and Cordy will be getting new abilities. Cordy 2, currently being talked about at MWC 2012, is taking a few influences from the blue hedgehog.

According to PocketGamer, Cordy 2 won’t be just a re-vamped sequel to the original with new levels but instead will be much faster in gameplay speed and the little robot will have some new abilities you will have to utilize in order to get through each stage. One such ability is magnetism meaning Cordy will be running along the ceilings as though they were floors.

In a quick demo level at MWC 2012, SilverTree Media showed Cordy zipping up a 180-degree slope, hurtling along a ceiling, and around in a large loop-de-loop. Collecting gears hasn’t changed but the levels will be much more complicated and will have many new obstacles and helpful items for you to use like jump pads, springy bumpers, and multiple plane switches. It isn’t completely all platformer action though and there are still some puzzles you will need to solve.

Unfortunately Cordy 2 is still deep in development and there is no release date set at all. Hopefully it comes sooner than later though.
