Playstation certified devices have 21 more PSOne games available for purchase… in Japan

Yet another bit of great news which looks to be, at least temporarily, exclusive to one location. Sony revealed today that there are now 21 new Playstation One titles available for Playstation certified devices like the Xperia Play or Sony S Tablet. Bad news, it’s only in Japan for right now.

We will wait for your screams of agony to die down before we continue… ready? Great. So another 21 Playstation One titles have been made available on the Japanese Playstation Suite for Playstation Certified devices. These titles are as follows:

Sony has been promising a much bigger push when it comes to content for Playstation certified devices since last year’s Tokyo Game Show when both the official Playstation Suite and SDK were announced. Now it finally looks like it is starting to happen but on a much slower scale then we had hoped, especially with initial releases for a lot of games, as you see in the above list, being location specific for now.

Each game costs ¥600 (US$7.30) although when the release of these titles reaches other areas, the price could change. If this trend keeps up, we may have to move to Japan soon.
