Introversion teases the Android world, says Uplink ‘may’ be released

The PC hacking simulation game that has a good sized cult following, called Uplink, by developers Introversion has had some news hinted at in the form of a tweet. Introversion has said in a tweet from their account that Uplink ‘may’ be getting released onto Android.

Uplink is a hacking simulation game that was released back in 2001 where you play as an agent whose job is to perform major hacks on major companies. This is how you make your living. As simple as that sounds, Uplink was a very challenging game with a very unique concept.

In the mobile version, if it actually happens, you will then be doing the same thing, hacking into major companies, stealing and erasing data, framing other hackers and working your way up to the top of the totem pole in the hacker society in-game. Of course this all depends on whether or not you get caught.

By completing these missions you boost your experience level and earn money that you can spend on upgrading your computer systems, software, tools and all that good stuff in order to better perform you next jobs without getting caught. Unfortunately there is no additional information right now aside from the cryptic tweet from Introversions about Uplink possibly coming to Android. We will be definitely keeping an eye out for more information as it is released.

Thanks to everyone who sent this in!
