Gameloft gearing up to launch their first physics-based puzzle game called Shark Dash

Back in the beginning of April 2012 we talked about two games that Gameloft seems to have been working on, one of which they were hinting on Twitter, Facebook and Google+ with witty pictures of sharks. When we reported on these two games, that is when we figured out that the shark pictures were to build hyper for their upcoming Android game called Shark Dash.

Shark Dash is Gameloft’s first stab at making a physics-based puzzle game for mobile. You will be playing as Sharky, who happens to be a happy-go-lucky bath toy, who ends up having his girlfriend kidnapped by some evil rubber ducks. In order to rescue your girlfriend, you will be using some of your special skills, along with additional shark friends of yours who also have some special skills of their own, to take on the evil rubber ducks.

When Shark Dash launches on Android, it will contain 96 levels, across four worlds (worlds actually being bathtubs) off the jump for you to battle your way through in order to rescue your girlfriend. Even though Gameloft stated that all future game releases in 2012 would be free-to-play, this particular one actually isn’t. Shark Dash is set to be released on April 19th onto the Google Play store and will cost you $0.99. For now though, we just get to enjoy the trailer video below.

On a side note, for those of you curious about the other game we talked about in the previous Shark Dash article called Dark Kings Free+, we now know that the game is currently released in France. As for whether it will make its way to the rest of us remains to be seen.
