The folks over at Slashgear have made an interesting observation over today’s Angry Birds Space update which could be a hint at things to come in the future, or not. However, the inclusion of what looks to be the pink Simpsons donut, being munched on by an Angry Birds pig, seems to be an interesting little visual.
Does this mean a Simpsons themed Angry Birds could be on the way? Well that certainly is a possibility considering the Rio themed Angry Birds game as well as Rovio’s habit of marketing the living hell out of Angry Birds in just about every aspect. It could also just be a friendly tip-of-the-hat to Simpsons which has featured Angry Birds in a couple of sketches in the past. Originally the donut was fully wrapped before the update and now it is partially 1/4 unwrapped.
Whatever the case may be, Rovio doesn’t leave that sort of Easter Egg / hint in a game for no reason. So what does everyone else think about this? Possible Simpsons themed Angry Birds or the pigs just have a fondness for random ping donut eating? Let us know in the comments below your guesses as to what this is about.
