Close Beta video footage of Sega’s MMORPG Phantasy Star Online 2

While we all wait for Sega’s upcoming cross-platform MMORPG called Phantasy Star Online 2 to be released, we can at least see some closed beta footage of the game. Currently Phantasy Star Online 2 is slated for release on the PC, Android and iOS sometime this Summer with the PS Vita getting the game at a later date.

From the information we have learned about Phantasy Star Online 2 over the past month, we know it will be a free-to-play game but with a proper free-to-play business model where all of the game is available to play right off the jump but should you want extra non-essential items such as items for your player’s house, you’ll be able to buy those through the in-game cash shop.

Another tidbit of information regarding the Android and iOS versions of Phantasy Star Online 2 is that the mobile version of the game will be more geared towards single-player content within the game. We haven’t been able to confirm this 100% just yet so take this little bit of information with a grain of salt.

However, while we wait for the release of this game which is currently in Closed Beta testing, we now get to check out some actual gameplay footage from the closed beta itself. This is footage from the PC version of the game but the mobile version will be identical in regards to visuals and any single player content (if true with the above rumor). Both of the videos above are around 20 minutes long.
