Noodlecake unleashes Trainyard puzzler onto Android, next Game-a-Week title revealed

Yesterday we talked about the popular iOS puzzle game Trainyard, developed by Matt Rix, that Noodlecake was planning to release today onto Android. Well if you were waiting for this challenging puzzle game to arrive, it has now landed on the Google Play store. Along with its arrival, we now know what next week’s game will be as well.

Trainyard is a puzzle game where you will be drawing tracks in each level for trains to travel on. The goal for this game is to get the trains to their matching stations. While this sounds easy, you will soon realize this is a lot harder than you thought, especially when you have to combine trains to make new, differently colored, trains in order to match the train stations.

There are 100 levels which you can play normally and another 50 bonus levels which are very hard that you can also attempt to complete. Trainyard is so challenging that there is even a solution wiki where you can contribute level solutions to in order to help other people.

Along with this game’s release comes the news of what Noodlecake is planning to release next week as part of their Game-a-Week project, or GAWP for short. The next game coming next week, according to PocketGamer,  is called Tiki Lavalanche and is a block-destroying puzzler. This entire Game-a-Week project is possible in thanks to Noodlecake apparently finding a way to run iOS game code natively on Android. To prove this, they are bringing one major iOS game over to Android every week for the next few months.

Trainyard is available off of the Google Play store for $0.99.
