Over 1,600 GameStop stores now sell Android tablets

GameStop has expanded into the mobile market even further by announcing the availability of Android tablets in more than 1,600 of its stores across the United States. There are a handful of tablet models right now, which should be enough to prevent GameStop customers from getting overwhelmed. You can also purchase the tablets online with free shipping.

Much like a mobile carrier, GameStop is going to tinker with the tablets before selling it to you. GameStop is installing games such as Sonic CD and Riptide on tablets sold in its stores. You’ll also find a digital copy of Game Informer magazine and the Kongregate Arcade application on these tablets. Hopefully GameStop will also let us uninstall these additions at our discretion.

Below you’ll find a list of the Android tablets at GameStop along with their prices.

– Asus Transformer Prime 32GB – $499.99
– Asus Transformer Pad  300 – $399.99
– Asus Eee Pad Transformer 16GB – $349
– Asus Eee Pad Transformer Keyboard Bundle – $449.99
