Critical Strike Portable will be the Counter-Strike portable game’s official name on Android

Back in the beginning of this year we found out about a developer over on XDA that had created a portable version of Counter-Strike for Android. Since then the developer has been hard at work fixing it, updating it and making it run a lot nicer.

It has also gotten an official name, Critical Strike Portable, and it will finally be making its way to the Google Play store sometime this month according to PlayAndroid. The entire game has been built using Unity3D and is actually playable right now over on Kongregate if you want to give it a whirl before it is released officially.

Critical Strike Portable Features:

– Worldwide Cross-platform Multiplayer (Local/Online) Games
– Single player mode vs Bots
– Smooth, responsive, and customizable controls
– Different Game Types (Classic, zombie survival, Team Death Match)
– Customizable server settings and difficulties
– Opportunity to build your own maps with Unity 3D

Critical Strike Portable is essentially Counter-Strike 1.6 in all its remade glory. There is also single-player modes should you want to have a few practice rounds to get back into shape before jumping into full cross-platform multiplayer against other people. No word just yet on pricing, if any, but you won’t have to wait much longer to start playing CS on your Android device.
