We have reported on development contests before held by various companies that usually offer up cash prizes. Most of these prizes are a nice size as well but Samsung has just announced one hell of a developer contest with a total prize amount of a staggering $4,080,000 to be split between the winners.
The contest will have developers submitting their app or games to this development challenge where they may win a part of this huge cash pot plus some free promotion to top it all all. There will be a total of 80 winners from two categories: Samsung Apps Super Apps and Best S Pen Apps. Even if every winner got an equal share of the $4,080,000 in prize money, that would equal $51,000 per winner. Not too shabby at all.
The winners will be divided up like this: 60 winners from the Samsungs Apps Super Apps category (30 winners for games and 30 winners for non-game apps) while another 20 winners will be chosen from the Best S Pen Apps.
