After a long delay Rockstar Games finally unleashes Max Payne onto Android

After an almost two month delay for the initial release time, Rockstar Games has finally unleashed the much anticipated mobile version of Max Payne onto Android. Currently available for select Android devices, it is now time to grab your guns and kick some bad guys’ asses.

Max Payne for Android is the full original game brought over to mobile to celebrate the launch of Max Payne 3. For those of you with Tegra-based devices, especially Tegra 3 quad-core Android devices, Max Payne comes optimized with improvements and extra effects such as antistrophic texture filtering and enhanced lighting effect.

If you find yourself stumped in Max Payne or just feel like having a ridiculous advantage, you will be able to log into the Rockstar Social Club and upon doing so, you will be able to activate cheats. You can also check out your stats and achievements through the Social Club. You’ll also be able to access the Rockstar Twitter feed, Facebook pages, Rockstar’s website and the official Max Payne 3 website should you feel the need to take a break from shooting people in the face.

You have the option of using game controllers when playing Max Payne but if you don’t have one, or prefer touchscreen controls, there are a few options that you can use to customize either control schemes:

• Aim Assist: Free look, light lock, soft lock and hard lock settings available.
• Looking Mode: Touch Look and Virtual Stick modes are available. Virtual Stick mode simulates an actual joystick, and is ideal for use with 3rd party joystick peripherals.
• Stick Side: Places the movement stick on the left or right side of the device. If first down is selected, the movement stick locks to wherever the player positions their finger first.
• Show Joystick: Tap or hide to show virtual joysticks
• Tap to shoot: Enable to toggle tap to shoot
• Tap to jump: Enable to toggle tap to jump

Everyone who is a Max Payne fan have been waiting for this game to finally be released onto the Google Play store and now it is available. You can download it from the Google Play store, Tegra Zone or our Google Play synced catalog for $2.99.
