Submit ideas and help design a game with the “Community Game” project

Well here is an interesting concept we were just told about by the CEO of Peripheral Games, David Colson. This concept has the community helping design their next game by submitting ideas. When you submit an idea or fifty, they will be put up for a vote and the highest voted idea will be made into the “Community Game”.

Officially called the Community Game Project, this project lets everyone toss ideas at the developers over at Peripheral Games. If yours gets enough votes, it will be put right into the game. This isn’t just for the initial game ideas either. This sort of idea submitting and voting process will continue on throughout pre-production and development with the entire community being involved.

Aside from this idea being rather great, there is also a bit of a good cause behind it. Not so much in a charity sense but more like giving back to the indie community. Peripheral Games will put every single cent the finished games makes right back into the indie game community whether it is through funding projects via Kickstarter, IndieGoGo or just general donations to indie mobile game developers.

If you have an idea or two that you want to submit, just hit up the link below to head over to the Community Game Project’s website to send in your ideas and read up on further details. There is only one rule though which is this game has to be a 2D mobile game. Other than that, it’s all good.
