Gamevil adds another $10 million in funding for third-party mobile game developers

You may or may not have noticed the increase in game releases from Gamevil over the past couple of months. There has been quite an increased amount if you compare it to the same time last year. That is because Gamevil has gotten into publishing games developed by third-party companies and not in-house.

This increase is a product of their partner program which they announced in June of last year where they had set aside $10 million dollars to invest in third-party developed games to increase their catalog with. Since then Gamevil has been working with a few developers over the months with their games finally getting released onto Android and iOS over the past three or so months. Apparently it has been quite successful for everyone involved because Gamevil is planning to add another $10 million to the pot.

In an interview with GameBeat with Vice President of Gamevil Kyu Lee, he stated that the original $10 million dollars had been completely invested already in third-party games to be published under the Gamevil brand. So they are adding another $10 million in funding this year to keep the program going. As of right now Gamevil is planning to release 15 games developed in-house but the total games for this year that they will release is 46. That means that 31 of those games will come from third-party developers. If that $10 million is divided up equally among all 31 games, that is roughly $322.5K per game in funding.

So for those of you who are fans of the games that Gamevil has been releasing and at the rate they have been launching these titles, you can expect a lot more heading our way in the second half of this year.
