Mission-based continuous runner Skyrise Runner to be re-released by Thumbstar Games?

It looks as though Thumbstar Games has acquired the rights to the Skyrise Runner mission-based continuous runner game originally developed and released by Ilusis Interactive Graphics. According to a press release, Thumbstar Games will be releasing Skyrise Runner onto Google Play August 9th, 2012 which points to the idea that this will be a re-release.

For those of you unfamiliar with Skyrise Runner, this is a fantasy themed side-scrolling continuous running game with a level design that resembles more of a platformer game. You will be playing as Ciellu, the last of the Skyrunners which is an ancient tribe that protects the Skyland forest. When you start the game, you will be running through the forest, jumping over gaps while collecting gems and straight-arming lumberjacks who are either standing around looking pretty or cutting down the Skyland Forest’s trees.

This game features over 60 missions for you to run, jump and straight arm your way through, all of which is wrapped up in 3D layered backgrounds. Of course as with any good running type of game, you will have power-ups and mystical artifacts to grab along the way to help you out. You can also unlock different way to play the game.

As of right now there is no information as to whether Thumbstar Games, who have developed titles such as i3, Meltdown on Mars THD and T-Racer HD, have done any improvements to Skyrise Runner or if this will just be a straight up re-release of the game but just under their brand instead. Either way we will find out on August 9th, 2012 when it lands on Google Play. Skyrise Runner will most likely retain its price tag of free. You can check out the game right now by downloading the Ilusis Interactive Graphics version for free.
