PSA: That isn’t the real Infinity Blade II on Google Play but a fake app instead

We have reported on this numerous times as well as did a little bashing of Epic and Chair Entertainment for their decision to never bring the Infinity Blade series to Android. It is something we have come to terms with. That’s why if you have been following us for any length of time, then you would instantly be suspicious of Infinity Blade II being on Google Play.

For those of you who knew to be suspicious and stay away from this ‘game’ then good job. If you happened to be lured in to downloading this ‘game’ then you have probably realized that it actually isn’t the game. This is essentially someone trying to make some cash off of the Infinity Blade name but without doing something as illegal as using malware to do it although we can’t say for certain that there isn’t any malware in there as well.

Upon downloading Infinity Blade II off of the Google Play store, appropriately developed by someone named Chair Entertainment Group LLC, you will be welcomed to a screen where you will have to earn 50 points through TapJoy in order to download this game. After accomplishing this, you will download 1GB of pretty much nothing.

Like PocketGamer points out, it is pretty impressive that no one has made a fake version of Infinity Blade before now. Let it be stated once again though to prevent further issues with fake apps of this game, Chair Entertainment has no plans to ever release any of the Infinity Blade games onto Android. It is, and always will be, an iOS exclusive game. In case you want to check out the Google Play listing, you can find it here, at least until it is pulled from Google Play.

They did do a good job making it look like a legit game though, aside from copying and pasting the iTune’s listing almost word for word.
