Tin Man Games releases arguably the best adventure books for mobile devices and as of late they have been bringing their entire library steadily over to Android. Yesterday they released their fifth book in their Gamebook Adventure series called Catacombs of the Undercity.
As with all of their Gamebook Adventure releases, in Catacomb of the Undercity you will be diving into a whole new adventure story with a fully interactive interface for things like dice rolling in combat and other actions, a character sheet where you can check out and raise your stats and, of course, the reading method of flipping pages to different sections of the book depending on the choices you make.
Dice rolling is one aspect of these releases that is especially fun as each time you roll the dice, they will bounce in a different way as they are purely driven by physics. You will also be able to save your spot in the story using a bookmark and return to it later when you have more free time to play. The best feature about these games though is that the stories are all completely original and are not just digitized versions of existing adventure books.
If you are a fan of Gamebook Adventures then picking up this fifth addition to the series is pretty much a given. However, if you are new to this genre, grabbing any of the current issues from Tin Man Games is a great introduction to this type of game. As with their previous releases, Catacombs of the Undercity is available for $4.99.
