Phosphor Games and Zynga’s upcoming Horn to arrive next week for Tegra 3 devices

Originally slated for release this week, Horn by Phosphor Games, in partnership with Zynga, has been pushed back a bit and will instead arrive next week. When it launches, Horn will be available through Tegra Zone and Google Play for Tegra 3 Android devices.

This new Unreal Engine built game looks pretty good so far from what we have seen in the screenshots and trailer. Zynga will be publishing Horn under their new Partnership Program but as far as we know, they really had very little to do with the game aside from it being released under Zynga’s brand. Horn is an action adventure game that brings a little bit of Zelda, Infinity Blade and Dark Meadow and meshes it into one title.

Horn features:

– Accessible controls that anyone can use- walking, jumping, slashing, even grapple hook, are all
performed with intuitive gestures
– Freely navigable console-quality detailed world- go wherever you want; not confined to limited
path or rail
– Story and characters that will surpass the best offerings on the platform
– Touch-friendly melee combat and crossbow style weapons
– “Pick up and play” objectives and challenges that allow for short and long gaming sessions
– 3 unique and beautiful fantasy worlds to discover
– 9 game levels with multiple challenges per level
– 10 Hours of story missions, plus endlessly escalating challenge modes
– Hidden side content to discover
– Score written by award winning Austin Wintory (‘Journey’)

Combat is locked down as in Dark Meadow where you will be swiping to dodge and attack your enemies, however, the environment will be fully interactive unlike the games we just mentioned. You will also have a handy little sidekick to help you out although they will complain about it half the time.

Unfortunately, Horn was slated for release this week onto Tegra 3 devices but now it has been pushed to next week. Lucky iOS users got the game today though. Until next week arrives, we can just drool over the trailer and screenshots some more.
