Peter Molyneux’s Curiosity delayed till September, the cube awaits you still

We talked about this… game… before when it was first announced but unfortunately Peter Molyneux’s experimental game called Curiosity has been delayed till September. It was actually slated for release today which, if that had happened, we would be finding out the meaning of life, or something similar, fairly soon.

For those of you who missed out on our previous article about Curiosity, this is an experimental social game where players will chip away at a cube. As players chip away at this gigantic cube, it will get smaller and smaller until the final piece is chipped away. Only then, and to the player who does the final tap to remove the final piece, will what is inside the cube be displayed. Depending on how much money you pay, your taps will do more damage to the cube. There is also the infamous £50,000 item that can be bought to really whack away at the cube.

Peter Molyneux assures everyone that the object inside the cube will be “truly amazing and something unique”. For the sucker that pays £50,000 for the in-game pickaxe to do the most damage, it better be. When the game is released it will be available across numerous platforms including Android. Soon we will all know the meaning of life once the secret is revealed inside the cube, or perhaps the winner will recieve a Happy Meal from McDonalds. Who knows?
