Arriving just after the Angry Birds Seasons Back to School update, Angry Birds Space has just received its newest update as well today called the Red Planet expansion. As you may be guessing, this is a Mars themed update featuring 20 new fiery levels that Rovio has teamed up with NASA for.
As the story goes for this update, the pigs have hijacked NASA’s Curiosity Mars Rover which, if you have been following the news this morning, is the reason Peter Molyneux’s game is being delayed. Along with the 20 new levels, there are also two bonus antenna egg levels as well. You will also have to dodge falling asteroids and exploding volcanoes which is definitely a nice touch.
Rounding off the update is a new astronaut pig you will have to deal with and three bonus levels which you can unlock by finding three hidden rovers and landers. For all you Angry Birds fans out there, the update is now available for all versions of Angry Birds Space.
