From the publishers of Harebrained Schemes’ Strikefleet Omega Android game, 6Waves will be soon releasing a new mech battle game on Android called Offworld. Currently being released onto iOS today, Offworld will have players collecting, training and upgrading a variety of mechs before battling it out with other mechs for glory and riches.
The mech, which are officially known as Strikers, will be your main tool in becoming the best bounty hunter in the universe, taking on other opponents and their mechs not only for glory and riches, but for the rewards they will bring in once defeated. The money you earn can be used to customize and upgrade a variety of components on each of your mechs. You will be able to have more than just a couple of mech and, in fact, you can make an entire fleet of them if you want.
Offworld Features:
– Train, customize, and battle mech Strikers in search of the galaxy’s most dangerous rogues and outlaws
– Hire pilots to maximize mech firepower and defensive upgrades
– Multiple mech varieties even the playing field and add levels of strategy to each battle
– Loot battlefields for resources to train and build Strikers and/or purchase items in the shop with in-game currency
– Fully animated mechs with retina graphics and stunning visual effects
– Earn achievements on the quest to become a top bounty hunter
– Original soundtrack to complete a futuristic, sci-fi experience
Creating an entire fleet of mechs requires you to have more than just yourself to pilot them. That means you will need to hire the best pilots you find in order to control them. The visuals are also fairly unique, with a sort of drawn, but very detailed cel-shaded 3D look to them. Combat is done through a turn-based system as well.
While the game is hitting iOS today, Offworld is slated for release onto Google Play as well although a release date hasn’t been announced, only that it will be ‘coming soon’.
