HTC says it will be pulling out of the tablet market in the U.S.

For those of you out there who are fans of HTC and were hoping that there would be future tablets coming to the market here in the U.S. for you to buy, HTC has announced some bad news for you. According to the online communications manager for HTC, Jeff Gordon, the company will be pulling out of the tablet market in the U.S. which means no more HTC tablets here.

Jeff Gordon went on to state that it was a ‘great learning experience’ for the company who pretty much got their asses handed to them in the U.S. tablet market. It wasn’t that their tablets were terribly bad, mind you they weren’t great either, they just couldn’t really compete here with other companies such as Amazon with their Kindle Fire line-up or Samsung’s devices. However all is not lost as Jeff goes on to say that they could very well re-enter the market here in the U.S. at any time should they see an opportunity arise. Until then though, good luck to HTC tablets elsewhere.
