The ultra-violent game Hotline Miami may end up coming to Android

The indie developer behind the rather twisted and ultra-violent indie game Hotline Miami has announced that talks have been happening to bring the game to Playstation devices. Jonatan Söderström, the developer behind the game, told PocketGamer that he has been in talks with Sony to bring the game to the PS Vita and, quite possibly, to other mobile devices such as Android ones.

For those of you unfamiliar with Hotline Miami, this is a top-down action packed game, filled with neon colors that brings you back to the glory days of the late 80’s when that was apparently cool. You’re goal is to take out all the bad guys which ends up happening in the most bloody and violent way possible. Right now Hotline Miami is currently available for PC only but the Vita looks like it would be the first platform to get it and Jonatan Söderström is rather interested in bringing the game to iOS and Android devices as well.

Would be interesting to see if it was possible to get it to play well on a touchscreen device. Sounds like a challenge. – Jonatan Söderström

Unfortunately, it may still be some time before any mobile platform get Hotline Miami since the developer would need to find people to help him port he game to mobile platforms. Still, getting Hotline Miami on Android would make those commutes on buses a lot more fun, and violent. You can check out the game in action in the trailer below which is of the PC version.
