The developer of the rather popular Hard Line game for iOS and Android has hit up Kickstarter to help fund the final development of his next game called Fist Of Awesome. This epic sounding game is a retro style side-scrolling beat ’em up where you will be punching various woodland animals in the face. It’s alright to do that though since they are trying to do the same thing to you as well.
You’ll be playing as Tim Burr is a forest dwelling kind of guy who happens to, and I quote, “gets caught up in a needlessly complex interstellar plot to enslave Earth by populating history with homicidal wild animals”. You’ll be traveling through a variety of time periods, taking on various animals (Deer, Bears, Bison, etc etc) all bent on beating the living crap out of you. Luckily, you are surprisingly skilled at fist fighting with animals. As you may be guessing, there is plenty of humor in Fist Of Awesome.
The developer, Nicoll Hunt, is promising plenty of pixel filled content, a unique control system, and a pretty awesome soundtrack to go with that awesome fist of yours in-game. For those of you interested in helping out, the goal for this Kickstarter campaign is only £5,000 with 29 days to go and dropping £5 will net you the game for free when it launches.
